  • Working with Voiance's interpreters is easy! Follow these tips to work most effectively with our interpreters:

    • When the interpreter comes on the line, allow the interpreter to greet you and provide you with their Interpreter ID Number.
    • Provide the interpreter with a brief explanation of the call.
    • Speak to the client in the first person as if you were speaking to an English speaking patient.
    • Use short, but complete phrases.
    • Avoid slang, jargon or metaphors.
    • Allow for the interpreter to clarify any linguistic or cultural issues
    • Allow extra time as everything is said at least twice
    • Remember that everything will be repeated and kept confidential
    • Let the interpreter know when the interpretation session is finished. The interpreter disconnects from the call with a brief closing statement including providing you with his/her interpreter number.
